| GDC Sidhra organised lecture on "Importance of National Voter's Day" | | |

JAMMU, Sept 2: Electoral Literacy club in collaboration with Department of Political Science of GDC Sidhra organized a lecture on the theme of the "Importance of National Voter's Day" under the SVEEP activities in view of the upcoming General Elections to J&K Legislative assembly 2024. The event was started with the formal introduction given by Dr. Meesha Bhagat, Dept. of Political Science about the role of SVEEP and upcoming Legislative Elections in J&K. She delivered a lecture on the Importance of the National Voter's Day which marked the foundation Day of Election Commission in India on Jan 25 and further emphasised on the intricacies related with the role of Election Commission at the time of Elections. She asserted on the role of the youth to cast their vote actively in the electoral process. The lecture was further supplemented with a documentary shown to the students in relation to the role of Election Commission. Documentary was comprised of the information related with the Election of Lok sabha and vidhan Sabha and the role of Election Commission as well as Delimitation Commission.
