Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23- The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party at its silver jubilee session held at Ram Lila Ground Kathua today adopted several resolutions of far reaching consequences and ratified the re-election of Prof Bhim Singh as Chairman of the party and also his candidature from Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency. In its political resolution the Party reiterated its commitment for the Delimitation Constituencies in J&K . The resolution demanded justice; economic, social and political for the OBC (other backward classes) according to their percentage in the state population without any delay. It regretted that OBC has been ignored deliberately by the ruling classes ever since 1947. The resolution said that all discrimination at political, economic, developmental, linguistic level must come to an end and Jammu province should be provided 50% shares in the Legislature, in developmental funds, in recruitment and admission in the professional colleges. The party in another resolution demanded amendment in Article 370 and reorganization of J&K state on the basis of cultural, geographical, linguistic identity through amendment in Article 370. The Parliament should empower itself to legislate, al least, in respect of four subjects which Maharaja Hari Singh had included in the Instrument of Accession in 1947, namely Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communication, Currency etc. This is necessary to do so for strengthening social and emotional integration of the state with the rest of the country. The party demanded ST status for the Paharis, political reservation in Legislature to STs and SCs, implementation of Apex Court judgment on Jammu migrants, special financial package for the connectivity of the far-flung and cut off areas like Marwa-Dakshan-Wadwan, Paddar, Machel, Gulabgarh, Desa, Basantgarh, Panchari-Landar, Bhamag, Gool, Mahore, comprehensive settlement of all refugees of 1947, 1965, and 1971, besides rehabilitation of West Pakistan refugees, removal of all former legislators, officials involved in vigilance cases, regularization of all SPOs, ReTs and others working on adhoc or contractual basis.
