| Gujjar girl murdered in Udhmapur; accused arrested | | |

Udhampur Mar 23- A Gujjar Bakerwal girl was allegedly murdered by a local youth at Dabrah village of Udhmapur today when she opposed to have an affair with the youth . According to reports , a local girl namely Naseema was going to nearby fields to graze cattle along with other four girls of same village in the afternoon and when they were grazing cattle, a local youth namely Meena came there and started teasing the girls which he was often doing with girls despite complaints his to family members .
Reports added that today youth started passing vulgarity and tried to molestate Naseema which she opposed. Reports further added that the victim along with other girls went to the house of the accused to complain about his activity which he could not digest and he attacked the girls with sharp edged axe killing one of the girls identified as Naseema daughter of Mirdi Gujjar resident of Dabrah . Accused fled from the spot after committing murder. Sources said that accused was often forcing the victim to develop illicit relations with him which she was often opposing resulting today’s incident.
Meanwhile after the incident the locals of the area held protest demonstration alleging belated police action which resulted the death of girl and also demanded action against culprit responsible for the murder of girl .Meanwhile police launched search operation and succeed in arresting the accused Meena son of Kartar Singh resident of Debrah for alleged murder of girl and booked him under section 302 RPC.
