NEW DELHI, Sept 3: Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railway today held a review meeting with the departmental heads and DRMs of Northern Railway. The meeting, which took place at Baroda House focused on enhancing safety protocols and ensuring the highest standards of safety of passengers and railway assets.
Key topics addressed during the meeting included emergency response protocols, employee training initiatives, maintenance schedules, and the implementation of new safety technologies. He also reviewed the status of various important construction projects of Doubling & New lines and directed the officials to expedite the work.
Sh. Chaudhuri, said that keeping the rolling stock and locomotive in optimal condition play vital role in maintaining safety, efficiency and reliability of train operations. The GM emphasized the importance of robust signaling and interlocking system to ensure smooth train operations. He reiterates the need for continuous training initiative to upgrade safety conscious culture within the railway system.
Further, the GM commended the effort put forth by the staff ensuring the safety and smooth functioning of train operations especially during Monsoon season.
