Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 4: Festivals play a vital role in strengthening the bonds between communities and bringing people together to celebrate peace, harmony, and shared cultural heritage. They serve as a reminder of our collective values and traditions, fostering unity in diversity.
This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with members of Residents Welfare Association, Gandhi Nagar here today. The Association members invited Kavinder Gupta for participation in the upcoming Ganesh Mahotsav as Chief Guest.
Kavinder Gupta, known for his strong connection with the people of Jammu, expressed his delight at being invited to the Mahotsav and emphasized the significance of the festival in promoting cultural unity and spiritual growth. He stated, "Ganesh Chaturthi is not only a celebration of Lord Ganesha's wisdom and blessings but also a reminder of our rich traditions and the power of unity in diversity. Festivals like these strengthen the bonds between communities and bring people together to celebrate peace and harmony."
The Residents’ Welfare Association of Gandhi Nagar has been organizing the Ganesh Mahotsav for several years, and the event has grown into a major cultural and religious celebration in the area. This year’s celebration will feature traditional rituals, devotional songs, cultural performances, and community feasts, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees.
Kavinder Gupta appreciated the efforts of the Association members in maintaining such traditions. He further added, "It is heartening to see communities come together for such a noble cause. These festivals not only deepen the cultural roots of society but also act as platforms for spreading messages of hope, positivity, and communal harmony. Our festivals are the backbone of our society, and it is through them that we pass on the values of love, respect, and togetherness to future generations,” he added.
