Early Times Report JAMMU, MARCH 23- In order to address various problems being faced by the employees of Health and Family Welfare Department, the Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma, under joint mechanism system, convened a meeting of officers and members of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) here today. Commissioner/Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Mr. Atal Dulloo, Director, Family Welfare, Dr. Kulbushan Pandotra, Director, Health Services, Jammu, Dr. Jasbir Singh, Principal, Indira Gandhi Dental College, Jammu, Dr. M. R. Sharma, President JKMEF, Mr. Sushil Sudan and Secretary General, JKMEF, Mr. Vinod Kumar attended the meeting. The Federation put forth their demands which included regularization of ad hoc/consolidated/contractual employees, up-gradation of grade of FMPHWs, timely-disbursement of salary, creation of posts of Section Officers, District Pharmacy Officers, Block Pharmacy Officers in the offices of CMOs, enhancement of FTA, release of two-and-half-days salary, RMP during service to pharmacists, filling up of vacant posts in all categories and other allied issues.
All the demands were discussed threadbare and the Minister asked the officers to take remedial measures in a time-bound manner after thorough examination of demands. He said all issues can be resolved with mutual negotiation and such joint mechanism would prove very useful in settling all pending issues and added that such meetings would be continued in future as well. He also asked the employees to motivate their colleagues to work with zeal and dedication to serve the ailing community.
