GDC Neeli Nallah celebrates Teachers Day to commemorate birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrated Teachers Day enthusiastically to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora, Principal of the College. A number of activities ranging from Lightening of Lamp, Guru Vandana, group songs, dance performances etc were organized on the occasion. The event started with lightening of lamp to honor Dr. Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan by the Principal and the staff of the college. The students exhibited their talent and devotion towards teachers through speeches, poem recitation, dance and musical performances as an honour to their teachers. This was followed by a speech by Worthy Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora, wherein she highlighted the contributions of Former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. She said that "The end product of education should be a free creative man, who can battle against historical circumstances and adversities of nature." She appealed to the students to take inspiration from the teachings of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan to rise higher and higher in their career. She also highlighted the challenges faced by the students these days and suggested some remedies. Further, she had a vibrant interaction with the gathering and shared his experiences and words of wisdom. Thereafter students of different semesters of the college voiced their thoughts and opinions and expressed their gratitude towards their teachers. The whole event was organized under the convenorship of Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, NSS PO. Dr. Maansi Sharma, Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Prof. Rekha Sharma were the members of the organizing committee.
