Shiksha Niketan School celebrated Teacher's Day

JAMMU, Sept 5: Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organised a grand ceremony on Teacher's Day with great enthusiasm. This special ceremony begun with paying tribute to the founding father of the institution Late Dev Dutt Mengi and his wife Late Pushpa Devi Mengi. School also paid tribute to the ex teachers late Kusum Gupta and Vanchu sir for thier valuable contribution to the school.
At the beginging of the function a very melodious Sai Bhajan was sung by a student of class 6th. To mark the day in the memory and journey of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan a beautiful poem was recited by a class 3rd student Bhavya. School was decorated with very pleasant art pieces, a scene of old gurukul system was also grace the occasion.
School premises was graced by worthy Principal of the school Rameshwar Mengi, Trustee Rita Mengi, Director RMPS Rakshan Mengi, Director SNS Gandhi Nagar and Pushp Vatika Risheek Mengi along with ex teacher Nirmal Gupta and Ravneet Kour the dignitaries of different fields were present on the occasion. Arun Gupta (President Industry and Commerce) and Alumni of the school Ajay Sharma ( Senior Manager Gramin Bank) was the chief guest on the occasion.
The special occasion was followed by giving bouquet and gifts as token of love to the dignitaries present on the occasion.
A mesmerizing mesh up himachali folk dance was performed by students of 6th class. Bhangra dance by boys of 7th class also energize the occasion.
The principal of the school Rameshwar Mengi addressed all the teachers and guest with his inspiring words. Worthy Principal thanked the teacher for their dedication to teaching and given credit of school achievements and success to its teachers and other staff menbers. He said that impact of teacher on the students were lifelong also the greatest teacher inspire students towards greatness.
To make the day enjoyable, a surprise dance was also planned.
Later on Worthy Principal along with all the guests facilitate the teacher, menial and office staff and participants with gifts. This special occasion end with a lunch from administration side for all the teachers and participants.
The day ended with national anthem.
