MVD Samba organized Free medical Camp

SAMBA, Sept 5: Motor Vehicle Department Samba, in collaboration with the Health Department, organised a free medical and eye check-up camp for drivers at ICC Samba. The Camp was inaugurated by ARTO Samba Romesh Samotra. The initiative aimed to ensure the health and safety of commercial drivers and conductors. During the medical camp, a team of specialist doctors examined the health of drivers. More than 60 drivers and conductors attended the camp and availed free facilities like colour blindness, eye defect, BP, Sugar, HB checkup during the day-long camp and were also provided free medicines to them. The attending medical professionals provided thorough eye examinations and educated the participants about maintaining good vision health. They highlighted the vital role that clear eyesight plays in preventing road accidents and ensuring the safety of both drivers and passengers.
Addressing the participants, ARTO Ramesh Samotra said that there is a need to strictly follow traffic rules and adopt safety measures to reduce accidents so that precious lives can be saved and he also said that the participants that the aim of organising such medical camps is to spread awareness among drivers about the importance of personal health and hygiene for the welfare of the society. He said that in future such camps will be organised for drivers on a regular basis as it is the responsibility of drivers to ensure safety of passengers, hence they should get their health checked frequently and monitor it well.
Dr Digvijay Singh Medical Officer, Sham Sundar Senior Pharmacist, Liyaqat Ali Lab Technician, Abhishek Sharma while Motor Vehicle Inspector CS Baloria and other members of staff were also present during the camp.
