Jalandhar, Sept 6: “Now everyone asked me, Srikanth, you have become the hero, but I tell them I was born a hero. If you think Srikanth cannot do anything, but I think Sri can do anything, that’s why I think I am here.” With these inspiring words, Mr. Srikanth Bolla delivered a powerful message that resonated profoundly with the students.
To motivate its students, LPU organised the Youth Talk session featuring Srikanth Bolla, CEO of Bollant Industries, and MIT’s first visually impaired student with 100% scholarship. He is actually a real hero of the movie Srikanth, in which Rajkummar Rao played a role of Srikanth Bolla. Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and founder Chancellor of LPU Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal and Pro Chancellor Col. Rashmi Mittal, warmly welcomed Srikanth Bolla. Dr. Mittal commended Mr. Bolla as a visionary CEO, public speaker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. If a child from a small village can go MIT and start his own business, then why did you all not get your dreams complete? You just need to focus on the goal, not on the problems. Stop complaining about the problems and think about finding solutions.
Bolla emphasised that heroes are not made but born, asserting his belief in the boundless potential of every individual. He shared personal anecdotes, illustrating how perseverance and a visionary outlook can surmount challenges, inspiring the audience to focus on solutions rather than obstacles.
“I am not saying my child's life was not hard; it was hard, but I think it’s full of fun. Recounting a childhood memory, he said I tried to climb upon the coconut tree; a lot of times I failed and fell. Everyone says leave it; it’s not for you, but I tried and climbed on the tree and plucked the fruits that I wanted.” He emphasised the satisfaction that comes from striving towards one's goals, regardless of the challenges faced. Highlighting the importance of vision over mere sight, Bolla encouraged the students to cultivate a mindset of limitless possibilities. He underscored the significance of exposure at the right age to the right opportunities, emphasising that talent and hard work, when coupled with vision, can transcend limitations. To see a dream, you do not need eyesight; you need vision, and then from where the disability word comes. Disability is the ability to do anything.
He stated LPU as a vibrant city of bright minds, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills. Srikanth Bolla expressed gratitude towards his teachers for their guidance and emphasised the importance of seizing the opportunities provided by the campus. Bolla shared his incredible journey about overcoming obstacles with determination and resilience, and his words were a beacon of hope, motivating our students to pursue their dreams and embrace entrepreneurship.
