| 'Cross-border elements may create tension in J&K during polls' | | |

New Delhi, March 23- Mischievous elements from across the border may try to create tension during elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Defence Minister A K Antony warned here today.
" There will be serious attempt to create tensions, if possible, troubles during election times by mischievous elements from across the border," Antony told reporters at a painting exhibition here.
When asked to comment on the possible situation in the state during elections in wake of the recent terror activities, he said," Regarding the election time, you can&apost guarantee what will happen."
The Defence Minister said the Government was taking all measures to provide security to the elections.
"We are taking all precautions. We are not leaving anything to chance. Whatever is needed to assure security in the election time, we will give,"he said.
On yesterday&aposs exchange of fire on the border in the state, he said Government has already taken up the matter with Pakistan.
