UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: Udhampur Police team from Police Station Udhampur headed by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking duty at naka point Jakhani, NHW, stopped one vehicle (mahindra Scorpio) bearing registration number PB37F 0063 for checking purpose. During checking of said vehicle, 02 bags having approx 22 kg of poppy straw like substance were recovered from the possession of the driver of the vehicle namely Kala S/O Harbans Lal R/O H. No. 84, Village Kotla Janga Tehsil Nakodar District Jalandhar, Punjab who has been arrested on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 374/2024 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe. |
