9/10/2024 12:32:01 AM

Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 9: The voter awareness activities continue to make a mark in Hiranagar Assembly segment where the epicenter of today's SVEEP activities was Panchayat Ladwal, along with local schools and ITI Hiranagar. These initiatives focused on raising voter awareness and encouraging electoral participation ahead of the upcoming elections. A highlight of the day's events was the participation of 300 students from ITI Hiranagar in a signature campaign. The students also created a Wall of Democracy, a visual symbol of voter empowerment aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of voting.
At the Government Girls High School Hiranagar, students enacted a mock polling day, providing future voters with hands-on experience and understanding of the election process. This interactive activity was designed to familiarize students with the electoral system and encourage them to actively participate in the future.
In addition, BAG (Booth Awareness Group) members organized a sapling plantation drive at various polling stations. Senior citizens and school students joined hands to plant saplings, symbolizing the motto of a Green and Clean Democracy, where every vote contributes to the empowerment of citizens and the sustainability of the environment. As part of the outreach efforts, the BAG team also visited 200 households in Village Ladwal, where they encouraged residents to pledge to cast their votes on October 1, 2024. This grassroots campaign focused on ensuring maximum voter turnout and strengthening the democratic process.
