Sham files nomination papers for Jammu North Constituency

JAMMU, Sept 9: Amidst thousands of party workers and supporters, senior BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma filed his nomination papers for the 79-Jammu North Constituency before the Presiding Officer at Janipur on Monday. National General Secretary of BJP, Tarun Chugh; former Union Minister, Anurag Thakur; MP Jugal Kishore Sharma; former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas; District President Omi Khajuria; DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan (Bodhi); Mahant Rameshwar Dass; senior BJP leader Devinder Rana; and Vinay Gupta were among the prominent figures who accompanied Mr. Sharma, along with thousands of supporters.
Sham Lal Sharma's cavalcade, in the form of a roadshow, consisted of a large number of four-wheelers and two-wheelers, with thousands of party workers waving flags and banners. The procession began at the Central Office of BJP in Purkhu, passed through Domana, Muthi, Paloura, and Roopnagar, and culminated at Janipur. Enthusiastic youth from different wards chanted slogans in support of BJP and Sham Lal Sharma throughout the route.
While interacting with the media after filing his nomination, Sham Lal Sharma expressed full confidence in BJP's victory in the polls, stating that he is certain the party will form the next government with a clear majority in Jammu and Kashmir. "The people's enthusiasm clearly indicates that the environment is in favor of BJP this time, as they have tested all parties in the past and now want a change by electing BJP to power," said Sharma.
Reiterating his resolve to serve the people of the state with zeal and dedication, Sham Lal Sharma said he will work hard to address the issues of the people, especially those of the Jammu North constituency. He emphasized that essential services such as regular water supply, uninterrupted power supply, improved road connectivity, upgraded health infrastructure, and the implementation of all public welfare schemes will be top priorities on his agenda. He also stated that all government functionaries will be made accountable for their duties, and all-out efforts will be made to provide better services to the common man.
He urged the party workers to reach out to every individual, make them aware of the BJP government's programs and policies, and seek support based on BJP's clear agenda. He also encouraged them to motivate people to cast their votes for a better and more secure future.
Sharma expressed gratitude to the top party leadership for placing their faith in him and giving him the responsibility of representing Jammu North. He also thanked the State Election Prabharis and local leadership for their wholehearted support. He assured that BJP will emerge victorious in the Jammu North seat with a significant margin.
Others present included Mandal Presidents Rakesh Singh, Suresh Khajuria, Ravish Mengi, corporators from different wards of Jammu North Assembly,District and Mandal teams
