| Vivekananda Institute celebrates Trimurti Balidan Diwas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 24- Trimurti Balidan Diwas was celebrated in the campus of Vivekananda Institute Lakhanpur Kathua. Prof. N. K .Tripathi President Teachers Association University of Jammu was the chief guest of the occasion and Prof. Dalip Singh Jamwal, Department of Mathematics was the guest of honour. Dr. S. K. Gupta, chairman Vivekananda Institute and Dr .Anju Sharma, Principal of the College were also present on the occasion
Dr S .K Gupta in his welcome address said that no doubt we are independent today but still we are not mentally free because our freedom is based on providing white colar jobs only. He said the main motto of the Institute is to provide vocation oriented courses.
Prof .N. K. Tripathi congratulated Vivekananda institute for having unique features which differentiated it from rest of the affiliated collages of the state. He further congratulated brilliant scholars of the institutes for their excellent performance in the play and remembering freedom fighters by celebrating Martyrs Day. According to him degree is not every thing but purpose of an educational institute is to shape an individual in such a way that he can change the whole lot of society.
Earlier, the students of the Institute presented a well meaning skit on the life and martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev besides various items on social evils, like drinking, dowery, child marriage and won thunderous applause from the gathering present on the occasion.
Later, the chief guest presented mementos to the children. |
