JAMMU, Sept 11: One-day workshop on "Idea Generation for Startups and Entrepreneurship" was held at Cluster University of Jammu on 11-09-2024. The workshop, aiming at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial skills, was organized by Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) under the patronage of Dr. Chander Shekhar, the President IIC, at Cluster University of Jammu and featured a dynamic lecture by renowned resource person, Mr Tushar Gandotra, an expert in the field of entrepreneurship and startup development.
The workshop began with a warm welcome to the attendees, comprising students, and faculty eager to learn the nuances of idea generation and business creation. In his opening address, Dr. Chander Shekhar, highlighted the significance of fostering creativity and entrepreneurship in today's rapidly evolving business landscape.
The highlight of the workshop was the keynote lecture delivered by Mr Gandotra, who shared insightful strategies and practical approaches to turning innovative ideas into viable business ventures. With years of experience in guiding startups through ideation and growth phases, Gandotra emphasized the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and market research in identifying business opportunities. The session covered a range of topics, including methods for brainstorming and developing startup ideas, understanding market gaps and consumer needs, the role of innovation in entrepreneurship, challenges faced by early-stage startups and how to overcome them and build a sustainable business model from initial ideas
Participants were encouraged to engage in interactive exercises and group discussions to apply the techniques presented during the lecture. The workshop offered a collaborative environment where attendees shared their ideas, received feedback, and networked with like-minded individuals.
