| Strengthening of PDP must for development of Poonch, Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Darhal, Mar24- Reiterating commitment of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to decentralize power at grass root level, party leaders today assured to remove social, economic, political and administration injustice with inhabitants of the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
Addressing series of public meeting in Darhal area of Rajouri district in connection with the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, PDP leaders Murtaza Khan, general secretary and MLC, Choudhary Zulfikar, MLA Darhal, senior leader Yashpal Sharma and Falail Singh sought support of the people for accelerating development of this region.
"Keeping in view the backwardness and underdevelopment of these areas we have a comprehensive and exclusive program for the socio economic development and political empowerment of the people of Poonch and Rajouri", said Zulfikar.
Shifting all blames on National Conference for the backwardness of Rajouri and Poonch, he said that NC leadership has failed to ameliorate lot of the residents of this area.
He said that state government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayed had set up Baba Ghulam Shah Badhash University in this belt and this institute of high excellence has opened new avenues for the youth of Poonch and Rajouri. |
