Kabaddi Competition held at MA Stadium Jammu

Jammu, Sept 15: A unique initiative to create voter awareness and participation through sports was organized at MA Stadium Jammu, where a Kabaddi competition was held under the aegis of SVEEP (Systematic Voter's Awareness and Electoral Participation).
The program was a collaborative effort between the District Administration Jammu, J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, and the J&K Sports Council. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sh. Sachin Vaishya (IAS), was the chief guest, and he urged sportspersons and eligible voters to exercise their franchise and participate in the electoral process.
The event was coordinated by Sh. Ranjeet Kalra, UT Level Election Icon, and was attended by other dignitaries, including Sh. Thakur Sher Singh, JKAS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sh. Shisher Gupta, IAS, ADC, Jammu, Sh. Uttam Singh, CPO, Jammu, Sh. Paramdeep Singh, JKAS, Tehsildar, Jammu (Khas), Bajinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Kuldeep Gupta.
General Secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Surinder Mohan Director Yuva Kabaddi Series, S S Gill Technical Director, Surajbhan Singh, Ajay Gupta Senior Kabaddi Coach, Anil Modi Treasurer, Er. Ramnik Singh and Dr. Nitan Sharma.
This collaborative and innovative approach aims to engage the youth and encourage them to take part in the democratic process. By leveraging the power of sports, the initiative seeks to promote voter awareness, registration, and participation, said Ranjeet Kalra. Kalra also expressed gratitude to Sh Kuldeep Gupta and Dr Nitan Sharma for their overwhelming support to the event.
