Double engine Govt utterly failed to curb terrorism in J&K in last 10 years: Rattan Lal Gupta
9/16/2024 9:55:22 PM
Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Sept 16: Provincial President of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Rattan Lal Gupta, launched a scathing attack on the BJP double engine government, holding it responsible for not curbing militancy completely in J&K at claimed by them.
He was addressing a massive election rally of National Conference Candidate from Ramban Constituency Advocate Arjun Singh Raju.
The senior NC leader Rattan Lal Gupta countered the misleading statement of Home Minister Amit Shah, during his rally in Doda, against the Congress-NC alliance, blaming the coalition had "nourished terrorism." Responding sharply. "The BJP's mishandling of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has led to the increase of terrorism. Under the double-engine BJP government for last ten years, the Union Territory has witnessed nothing but an increase in people's problems, devastation, and widespread disappointment. There is not a single achievement that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can attribute to the BJP."
Reflecting the tenure of National Conference, Rattan Lal Gupta emphasized that the Jammu region had been made completely free of militancy under the National Conference's leadership. However, in the last two years, terrorism has returned to Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Kathua, and Samba districts. Our brave soldiers are being targeted by terrorists in areas that had long been free of militancy," he said.
Speaking over the ongoing poll scenario, the Provincial President noted a growing wave of support for the National Conference across the region, calling it a "tsunami" that would bring the NC back to power. He assured that once the NC is voted back into government, they will take decisive action to eliminate terrorism from the Jammu region once again and bring peace and prosperity back in the region. He asserted the first goal of NC government to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have deprived of the same by the present dispensation.
Appealing to the people of Ramban Assembly Constituency and Banihal Assembly Constituency to vote and support of NC Candidates to the Advocate Arjun Singh Raju and Haji Sajjad Shaheen.
Advocate Arjun Singh Raju, Alliance Candidate for Ramban Assembly segment, reaffirmed the commitment of the Congress-NC alliance to address the pressing concerns of general public. He underscored the Alliance's pledge to work tirelessly towards fulfilling the aspirations of the people, ensuring peace, development, and prosperity. He urged the people of Ramban constituency to vote for the Alliance, promising that their victory would signal the beginning of a new chapter in the region's history.
