Police arrested five drug peddlers with heroine like substance

JAMMU, Sept 16: In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Jammu Police, under the operation "Sanjeevani," made a significant breakthrough on 15-09-2024, Police party of PS Nagrota during Naka checking duty intercepted the vehicle Alto K10 bearing Reg. No.Jk06B/9811 at Naka Ban Toll Plaza during checking of vehicle approx 20/22 gram Heroin like substance recovered and three persons arrested namely 1). Sunny Kumar S/o Chain Singh R/o Paryote Teh.& Distt. Doda. 2) Ashan Ali S/o Ghulam Farooq R/o Paryote Doda. 3) Aqib Farooq S/o Farooq Ahmed R/o Khaleni Doda.
In second case one vehicle Maruti 800 bearing Reg. No. JK04B/9507 intercepted at Naka Bamyal Morh jagti and during checking of vehicle approx 8/10 gram Heroin like substance recovered. Accused arrested on the spot namely 1) Arshad Ahmed S/o Khazer Mohd Shah 2) Bilal Ahmed S/o Ghulam Qadir both R/o Lasjan Teh. Panthachowk Distt Srinagar.
The diligent efforts of the police team of PS Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota culminated in the arrest of the accused in different places.
In this connection two FIRs,FIR No.248/2024 and 249/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
Jammu Police urges all citizens to remain vigilant against the scourge of drugs and encourages them to report any suspicious activities promptly.
