NAGROTA, Sept 17: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS) successfully hosted the Inter-District Divisional Level Under-17 Girls Cricket Tournament at Khel Gaon, Nagrota. The event, held from September 14 to 17, 2024, brought together talented young cricketers from across the Jammu Division.
Swasti Sharma, a 9th-grade student from Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu, emerged as a standout performer in the tournament, securing the Runner-Up position. Swasti's achievement was celebrated by the school, with Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi congratulating her and her parents on the success. He praised her dedication and encouraged other students to follow in her footsteps, emphasizing the importance of participating in sports and extracurricular activities.
Swasti expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, stating that the tournament offered her valuable experience and exposure. "I learned a lot, and it was a great experience for me," she remarked.
