JAMMU, Sept 17: In a significant breakthrough, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu recovered more than 3 kg of Ganja-like substance, packaged in three packets, with a market value of approximately Rs. 3 lakh. The seizure is part of an ongoing campaign by GRP Jammu against banned drugs and substances.
Following the recovery, a case has been registered under FIR number 13/2024 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station GRP Jammu. This marks the seventh instance of banned drugs and liquor being seized by GRP Jammu within the last two months.
The ongoing campaign reflects the department's commitment to curbing the drug menace and ensuring public safety. Further investigations are underway to trace the source and network involved in the trafficking of these substances. |
