ASCOMS & Hospital celebrates World Patient Safety Day

JAMMU, Sept 17: To commemorate World Patient Safety Day, Department of Hospital Administration, ASCOMS & H, organized "Patient Safety and Quality Week" in which various activities were organized on the theme of "Patient Safety". The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal, Medical Superintendent, ASCOMS & Hospital and Organizing Committee Members. Various activities were conducting during this week such as Posters, Rangoli, Talent & Slogan competition and also various mock drills were performed during this week.
Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Dean/Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu was the Guest of Honour. The others dignitaries present on this occasion were Mr. D.K Batra, Secretary, ASCOMS, Dr. Gautam Mengi, Joint Secretary, ASCOMS, Mr. Rakesh Raman, Member, Governing Body, ASCOMS & Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital, Dr. Anil K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Medicine, Dr. Rajesh K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Orthopaedics, Dr. K.S.Mehta, Prof & HOD, Surgery, Dr. Ravinder K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Paediatrics, ASCOMS, Dr. Sapna Puri, Prof & HOD, Obstt. & Gynae & Dr. Meraj Din Chauhan, DGM (Audit & Hosp Adm.) ASCOMS. This Event was also attended by faculty, staff, Postgraduate students, paramedics and both MBBS and nursing students.
Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal in his welcome address highlighted the importance of Patient Safety. Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal, GMC, Jammu highlighted the various key points in his Guest Lecture on Patient Safety by giving a detailed Presentation. He appreciated the efforts of Department of Hospital Administration for organizing this event.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra Director Principal, congratulated the Organizing Committee for successfully conducting the Quality & Safety Week on the occasion of World Patient Safety Day 2024.
Panel discussion was also done on the topic "Improving Diagnosis on Patient Safety" in which Dr. Ravinder K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Paediatrics was the Moderator along with other three panelist. The participants and the winners were felicitated by the dignitaries followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepika Mahajan and Dr. Anna Azad in which they thanked the ASCOMS Management for their unwavering support and invaluable contribution to make the Event successful.
