Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 17: Senior leader and candidate for the 79-Jammu North Assembly segment, Advocate Maheshwar Singh Manhas, ramped up his door-to-door campaign, making an impassioned plea to voters to unite against the false promises of traditional political parties. Manhas, representing the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), held these parties accountable for the ongoing hardships faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, including rising unemployment and the escalating cost of essential goods. Advocate Manhas assured voters that under the leadership of Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad, the region would see tangible progress. He highlighted the key achievements of Azad's tenure as Chief Minister, particularly in areas of development, infrastructure, and employment generation, which brought significant improvements to J&K. "Being a local and the son of the soil, I understand the pressing issues of our area," said Manhas. He vowed to leave no stone unturned in addressing the concerns of Jammu North and promised substantial relief, should the DPAP come to power. Manhas pledged free electricity, water, and ration supplies for the economically disadvantaged sections of society. Manhas criticized the current administration, stating that they had "miserably failed" in tackling unemployment and controlling the prices of essential commodities, further urging voters to support his candidacy for a positive change in the region.
