This surgery was performed by the Department of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery, AIIMS Jammu by the skilled surgical team expertly led by Dr. Darwin Kaushal (Additional Professor), Dr. Amardeep Singh (Associate Professor), and Dr. Pooja Rani (Senior Resident). The procedure was expertly supported by the anesthesia team consisting of Dr. Sunana Gupta, Dr. Shruti Sharma (Additional Professor), Dr. Raksha Kundal (Associate Professor), and Dr. Sandeepika Dogra (Assistant Professor), along with the dedicated efforts of nursing officers and other healthcare professionals."
This successful operation highlights the growing capabilities of AIIMS Jammu and its commitment to delivering top-quality healthcare. The Director lauded the entire surgical team for their outstanding efforts and professionalism.
In a heartfelt gesture, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta dedicated this momentous surgery as a special birthday gift to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, whose vision led to the establishment of AIIMS Jammu. AIIMS Jammu was announced, inaugurated, and established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the hands of the Prime Minister, and this achievement comes as a tribute to his unwavering commitment to improving healthcare accessibility across the nation.
"Today's achievement is not just a milestone for AIIMS Jammu but a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our entire team. We are privileged to dedicate this success to our Honourable Prime Minister on his birthday, as a symbol of our gratitude for his visionary leadership," said Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta.
In closing, Prof. Gupta extended a vote of thanks to the people of Jammu for their faith in AIIMS Jammu and its faculty. "Your trust and support have been instrumental in our journey. AIIMS Jammu is committed to serving the region with the highest standards of healthcare, and this is just the beginning of many more achievements to come," he added.
