| Goodwill volley ball match organized by army | | | Early Times report

A goodwill Volley Ball match was organized by the Himalayan Brigade in Reshwari village of Handwara on 21 March 2009. The keenly contested match was played between teams from Naugam and Reshwari villages. Enthusiastic crowds of supporters from both villages exhorted their teams to greater efforts, lending the event a festive air. Both teams performed laudably and the closely fought match was finally won by the team from Naugam. The players were felicitated by giving individual and team prizes as a token of encouragement. Prize distribution ceremony was followed by tea and snacks for all. The villagers appreciated the concept of organizing such friendly matches and claimed to look forward to such events.
