JAMMU, Sept 18: The Eco Club 'Tawishi' and NSS unit 'Veerangana' of Government College for Women (GCW) Bhagwati Nagar kicked off their Swachh Bharat Diwas celebrations by organizing a Swachhata Pledge Event. The event, themed "Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata," aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness, marking the beginning of a series of activities dedicated to the cause. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, who united in their commitment to creating a cleaner, greener future. Dr. Meeru Abrol, Principal of GCW Bhagwati Nagar, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment. She urged students to be the torchbearers of change in society, contributing to the larger goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Students actively engaged in discussions, sharing their ideas on sustainable practices and underscoring the pivotal role of youth in driving environmental change.
