HPS boys win under-14, under-17 and under-19 Inter Zonal District Level Athletic Championship 2024-25

JAMMU, Sept 18: The boys of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari-Brahmana brought laurels to school by winning medals at Inter Zonal District Level Athletic Championship held at Samba Stadium Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 category at Samba District, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports.
In an event for Under-14 Boys Balbir Kumar of class 9th won a Gold medal in 200 m, Paras Verma of class 8th won a Gold medal in high jump, Paras Verma of class 8th won a Silver medal in Long jump and Kushal Mehra of class 6th won a Silver medal in 600 metres.
The another achievement for school was for Under-17 boys event in which Rajveer Singh of class 9th won a Gold medal in Javelin, Bhavab Singh of class 11th won a Gold medal in Discuss throw and Shotput Ankit Kumar of class 10th won a Gold medal in Tripple Jump and a Silver medal in Long jump. In Under-19 boys Mubarak Khan of class 11th won Silver medal in 200 m. The school acclaimed 6 Gold medal and 4 Silver medals at different event organised by the Deptt. Of YSSSD.
A special assembly was organised to honour the winners. The Principal, Gaurav Charak along with Vice-Principal, Anku Charak lauded the efforts of students who showed excellent performance under the guidance of Head coach, Mahan Singh along with other coaches, Shamsher Singh, Ajay Sharma, Bhanu Singh, Meenali Jamwal and Anju etc.
