Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 18: A mock drill was conducted at the Police Station GRP Manwal in collaboration with multiple units, including the area Magistrate, Territorial Police, UTDRF (Union Territory Disaster Response Force), health and medical services officers, and other sister agencies. The primary focus of the drill was an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast demonstration. The exercise was designed to assess and enhance the preparedness of security forces in handling potential threats from Anti-National Elements (ANEs) and Anti-Social Elements (ASEs). During the drill, a comprehensive contingency and retaliation plan was enacted, following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established for such scenarios. The exercise aimed to evaluate the readiness of security personnel to respond to emergent situations, ensuring the swift neutralization of threats and preventing any harm to public safety. The mock drill highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination and the operational capability of the personnel involved in dealing with the present security challenges.
