BLSKS celebrates “International Day of Peace”

JAMMU, Sept 20: The International Day of Peace is celebrated which promotes peace worldwide and raises awareness of the importance of peace for all people, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & presented its 459th Friday Series Musical "MANN KA VISHWAS" at Rehearsal Hall , Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The Musical play was written, produced and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India & the music was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS.The Program was inaugurated by V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Dr. Tara Singh Charak ,Former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K Government, Romesh Chander , Event Director Shashvat Art Gallery , Dr. Anju Dogra, J&K health department, Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu were the Guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with songs "Maan Ka Vishwas", "Shanti Se har kam Kaz Karna Hai " , "Hum Sab Ek Hi Hai", "Sab Malik De Namm" sung by the renowned artistes of BLSKS. The Chief Guest said the International Day of Peace is celebrated annually on September 21st. It is a day to promote peace around the world and to raise awareness of the importance of peace for all people. On the International Day of Peace, people around the world hold events and activities to promote peace and non-violence. These events can include peace marches, concerts, educational programs, and religious services. The International Day of Peace is also an opportunity to raise awareness of specific peace issues, such as conflict resolution, human rights, and disarmament. Sh.Magotra also underlined the importance of staging of such plays in all parts of the state to generate the awareness of culture of our country & urged the artistes / cultural organization to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage and inspiring the younger generation to follow foot prints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
Earlier in welcome address of Dr. M.L.Dogra, Former Regional Director ,Song and Drama Division ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India and chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said on the occasion The International Day of Peace, annually Celebrated on September 21st which is an important reminder that peace is not simply the absence of conflict, but a positive state of well-being and prosperity. It is a day to celebrate the progress that has been made in promoting peace around the world and to recommit ourselves to working for a more peaceful future. The International Day of Peace is celebrated by people all over the world. In many countries, schools, businesses, and organisations hold special events to promote peace and non-violence. Some common activities include peace walks, concerts, and educational programs. Peace is not only a noble vision for humanity. Peace is a call to action. Let us commit to build, drive and sustain peace for all."
Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, BLSKS said, the International Day of Peace is significant because it is a day to focus on the importance of peace and non-violence. It is a day to remember the victims of war and violence and to recommit ourselves to working for a more peaceful world. It is also significant because it is a day to celebrate the progress that has been made in promoting peace and non-violence. In recent decades, there has been a significant decline in the number of armed conflicts worldwide. However, there is still much work to be done to achieve lasting peace. The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer institute who performed in the musical play were Zulekha Bano, Rajni Gupta, Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, Mahesh Chander Kotwal, KK Joshi, Sanjeev Kumar, Rahul Kumar presented the enthralled performance Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
