3/25/2009 11:01:17 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, March 25: Stressing on all-round development of children in the field of education, the Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda, has called upon the parents to give top priority to imparting quality education to their children and said it will enable them to take futuristic responsibilities as good citizens.

Khoda said this while sanctioning scholarships of Rs. 2 lakh in favour of 70 school-going children of police martyrs, who are under studies in various educational institutions in different classes across the State. The scholarships have been sanctioned out of Central Police Education Fund (CPEF) for the academic years 2007-2008 and 2008-09. He said their brave parents have given supreme sacrifice for the integrity of the State and saved the lives and property of the citizens while fighting the proxy war inflicted on us during the last two decades to restore peace and bringing normalcy in the State.

Khoda also hoped that the students will grow into model human beings and serve their families who have gone through tumultuous phases by losing their sons in the fight against terror. He called upon the students to remember the sacrifices made by their parents and exuded confidence that they will emulate their parents in whatever field they choose after completing their studies.
