| ARO Ramnagar reviews poll preparedness | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAMNAGAR, MARCH 25 - Assistant Returning Officer, Ramnagar Assembly segment of Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Pran Singh today convened a meeting to review the poll preparedness here today.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Mr Narinder Khajuria and SDPO Ramnagar.
The meeting was apprised that the nearly one lakh voters are going to exercise the right of their franchise in the 142 polling stations set up in the segment. Threadbare discussions were held on every aspect of poll preparedness.
Mr Singh urged the officers to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct while discharging their duties. He also disclosed that sufficient teams have been deputed at panchayat level to train the electors in the usage of EVMs. He also instructed the functionaries to physically visit each polling station and ensure proper arrangements of security, water, power supply. |
