| SFC holds meeting with Sales Tax Deptt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAMNAGAR, MARCH 25 – The Jammu and Kashmir State Finance Commission (SFC) today held a meeting with Sales Tax Department to assess its working, assets, liabilities and issues related to realization of revenue. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on devising ways and means for increasing the tax collection in the State. The J&K State Finance Commission is looking into issues related to regional imbalances and disparities in J&K as also equitable distribution of resources, employment backlog, macro-economic stability, problem of acute debt and tapping of various potential areas for maximizing internal resource mobilization. |
