Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 23: Senior BJP leader and contesting candidate from Jammu West constituency, Arvind Gupta proudly announced today that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fulfilled the long-standing aspirations of the people of Jammu by declaring a public holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh. This decision, which resonates with the sentiments of the Dogra community, was met with widespread celebration throughout the region. The declaration of a public holiday is seen not only as a tribute to the Dogra ruler’s legacy but also as a testament to BJP’s commitment to recognizing the history and culture of Jammu. While intensifying his election campaign including several Wards 24, 26, 40, 41 and in a Panchayat Ward No 32 across the Jammu West constituency, Arvind Gupta said, “Today marks a momentous occasion for Jammu, as we celebrate a victory that has been long overdue. The BJP is the party that has ensured the recognition of Maharaja Hari Singh’s contributions to the region, and this public holiday is a reflection of our dedication to preserving the identity and pride of Jammu.”
Arvind Gupta further emphasized the historical significance of Maharaja Hari Singh, calling him a visionary ruler who played a crucial role in shaping the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir. He underscored the Maharaja’s progressive reforms, his emphasis on education, and his commitment to ensuring justice and equality for all his subjects. “By declaring this public holiday, the BJP has ensured that Maharaja Hari Singh’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations, reminding them of their rich cultural heritage,” he added.
