| Court rejects bail application of accused facing trial in Dogra’s murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25- The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Vinod Chatterji Koul rejected the bail application of Labha Ram, one of the accused, facing trial in a murder case of Ajit Singh Dogra Deputy Advocate General who was murdered on January 10, 2008. Court, after hearing Advocate OP Sharma appearing for the accused and Special Public Prosecutor RK Kotwal appearing for the state, observed that Special Public Prosecutor has objected the grant of bail on the ground that accused cannot be released on bail as he is involved along with other accused in a murder case in which charges have been framed. Court after considering the case of the accused dismissed the bail application filed by the accused for releasing him on interim bail. It is worthwhile to mention here deceased Ajit Singh Dogra Deputy Advocate General was stooped on January 10, 2008 by the accused persons and started firing and thereafter attacked with sharp edged weapon with intention to kill the Ajit Singh Dogra. The deceased in a serious condition was admitted in the GMC Jammu and later on shifted to Delhi where he died. A case u/s 302/341/147/149/34 RPC r/w section 4/25 Arms Act was registered against accused persons namely Vishal Sharma alias Vishu, Ashok Kumar alias Shoka, Amrish Khjauria alias Max, Labha Ram alias Sanjay, Raj Kumar alias Raju, Gourav Sharma alias Dana and Mohan Singh alias Mona and after completion of the investigation challan was presented in the Court of law.
