FICCI FLO JKL delegation visits AIIMS to explore State-of-the-Art Medical facilities

Jammu, Sept 24: A delegation of FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) members, led by Chairperson Ruchika Gupta, visited the state-of-the-art AIIMS Hospital in Vijaypur. This visit provided a unique opportunity for the delegation to tour the cutting-edge medical facility and gain insights into its advanced infrastructure, showcasing the progress of healthcare in the region. The visit was organized under the guidance of Dr. Shakti Gupta, Director AIIMS Jammu, who was highly supportive and facilitated the entire event.
The visit began with an insightful session led by Dr. Meeta Gupta, Dean Academics and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AIIMS Jammu. Dr. Meeta gave a comprehensive presentation covering critical topics related to women's health, including awareness on PCOS, cervical cancer, breast health, and menopause. She was joined by Dr. Natasha Gupta and Dr. Shivani Sharma, Assistant Professors in the same department. Together, they provided in-depth knowledge on various health concerns, busting myths and offering clarity on preventive and post-treatment options for women’s health issues.
Dr. Meeta Gupta also engaged in a highly interactive Q&A session, patiently addressing the concerns raised by FLO JKL members. She urged the FLO JKL team to actively promote awareness through their forum, emphasizing the importance of disseminating accurate information on women’s health.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL thanked Dr. Shakti Gupta, Director AIIMS Jammu for facilitating this wonderful opportunity for the forum to explore state-of-the-art facilities created. She shared the health-centric initiatives undertaken by FICCI FLO JKL this year. She highlighted the forum’s commitment to creating awareness about various forms of cancer affecting women, alongside vaccination efforts. Dr. Meeta Gupta assured the delegation of AIIMS's full support for future health-related endeavors initiated by the chapter.
Following the presentation, the delegation was given an exclusive tour of the hospital’s world-class infrastructure. The tour began with a visit to the one-of-its-kind digital library, featuring advanced automated systems, followed by a visit to the 1000-seater convention center. Members were transported between facilities on electric carts, visiting the board room, VIP areas, OPD, and emergency sections. Dr. Aatika, Patient Care Manger and Dr. Neelam Kotwal, Asst. Prof. Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS Jammu showcased the hospital’s cutting-edge amenities, designed to offer top-notch healthcare services in Jammu.
The visit concluded with a lunch arranged for the delegation at the AIIMS cafeteria, where members reflected on the world-class healthcare infrastructure now available in Jammu & Kashmir. The delegation, comprising core team members including Immediate Past Chairperson Varuna Anand, Treasurer Sona Mehta, and Joint Executive Secretary Nandita Bajaj, along with esteemed members from various walks of life, expressed pride in the transformative healthcare developments witnessed during the tour.
Ruchika Gupta extended heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors and to Dr. Sanjolly Gupta, PA to ED and CEO, AIIMS Jammu, for their support in making the visit a resounding success.
