Jammu, Sept 24: Ajay Sadhotra, senior National Conference (NC) leader and contesting candidate from the Jammu North Assembly segment, today asserted that the people of J&K are suffering due to the “wrong vision and anti-people policies” pursued by the BJP’s proxy Govt. over the last decade.
Speaking at an election campaign massive public meeting organized by Sardar Gurnam Singh Block President Jammu West in Janipur, Jammu-North Assembly segment, Sadhotra noted that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed no real development in the past 10 years, pointing rising unemployment, inflation, recruitment scams, inflated power bill, poor condition of roads, looting of Govt resources on the name of Smart City. “The BJP’s misguided policies have only worsened the situation for the common people,” Sadhotra said, urging voters to demand accountability for the lack of progress, undone projects and scams.
Outlining some of the party’s key initiatives, Sadhotra mentioned that the NC is committed to raise old age pensions from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000,increase financial assistance for girls marriages to Rs 75,000 from 50,000 of EWS, provide 12 LPG cylinders per family per year of EWS, and Provide One lakh jobs for the youths of Jammu and Kashmir, Provide 5000 Pm to elderly Female member of each household of EWS, Provide free 200 units power, free drinking water, Provide free travel of females in govt transport, legalize MSP for farmers and Provide 10 Kg rise per person per month free of cost. He emphasized that the party will continue to focus on improving the quality of life for every citizen and introduce more welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the marginalized sections of society
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of J&K National Conference, also took aim at the BJP, accusing its leadership, including Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defence Minister of spreading “negative narrative” of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that terrorism remains a serious issue in the Jammu and Kashmir specially in Jammu region referring to the incident of Dhangri in Rajouri District January last year, recent incidents of Pilgrims bus in District Reasi, District Udhampur, District Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts, the terrorism is increasing day by day.
Rattan Lal Gupta pointed out that during recent visits by the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defence Minister, live encounters were still occurring in Jammu and Kashmir. In a strong message, he added, “The Abdullah family’s present generation will give a befitting reply to the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls.”
The Provincial President called on the people of Jammu North to vote and support for Ajay Sadhotra in the upcoming elections to restore genuine development, peace, and prosperity to the region.Ajay Sadhotra a dynamic strong leader of Jammu and Kashmir whose performance as a minister and as legislation is incomparable. Among those who were present included :- Pardeep Bali Provincial Secretary Jammu, Ankush Abrol Joint Secretary Jammu Province, Chander Mohan Sharma District President Jammu Urban, Raghbir Singh Manhas District President Jammu Rural A, Dr. Vikas Sharma Secretary Central Zone, Satya Devi Jamwal, Manmohan Pargotra, Savita, Sumita Bhan, Veer Ji Bhat and others.
