Sham Sharma Indicts National conference for Jammu's destruction
Urges Support for BJP to Form Next Government in Jammu Kashmir
9/24/2024 10:22:36 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 24: Coming heavily on National Conference (NC) for its dictatorial policies towards Jammu region, senior BJP leader and party candidate for Jammu North, Sham Lal Sharma today said that this dynastic party ruled Jammu Kashmir for a maximum period after the Maharaja regime, and it completely undermined the honor, culture and heritage of this region from day one it took over the reins of erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a series of election meetings at different wards in Jammu North constituency, Sham said that due to the autocratic attitude and rule of this party, the entire Jammu region suffered badly on all fronts. The party deliberately kept Jammu underdeveloped, did not give its dues and instead focused on Kashmir region only, with the result, the people of Jammu region being compelled to live in miserable conditions. During the long period of rule of this party, no political outfit could flourish to pursue the cause of Jammu as they dominated the entire political system in Jammu Kashmir, he observed.
It’s not only Jammu but Kashmir and Ladakh also suffered badly due to the constant wrong doings and mis-governance by NC and ultimately the Valley turned into a battlefield supported by our enemy Pakistan. The cause of erupting militancy in Jammu Kashmir is only because of the anti-people and anti-India policies of the National Conference; it did not deliver on ground and deprived the people of their basic rights. The militancy brought miseries for the people, Kashmiri Pandits were compelled to leave their homes, their properties were looted and thousands of innocent lives were lost due to bloodshed and people cannot forget and forgive the NC for its egotistic policies, Sharma asserted.
Now, this selfish party is again trying to regain power by making false promises and hollow slogans like bringing back Article 370, Constitution of J&K and its Flag, releasing all criminals, militants detained under various anti-national laws and providing them handsome compensation and many more. But, the people are wise enough now, they know their character and design and will give them a befitting reply in the elections. Due to higher percentage of polls in the first phase, the leaders of NC have freighted and smelling a bitter defeat in the elections, Sham noted.
Cautioning the people to be careful from the mischievous design of this deceitful party and appealed for vote and support for BJP to form the next Government for a secured, peaceful and prosperous Jammu Kashmir under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narender Modi whose welfare policies have been widely acclaimed worldwide. He said this is the golden opportunity for the people to decide the future of coming generations and to make Jammu Kashmir a hub of tourism, hospitality and cultural activities. This is possible only with the power of votes of people, which they must exercise on poll days, he asserted.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Mandal Presidents Ravish Mengi,Suresh Khajuria, Election Incharge Parduman Singh,Corporators Kuldeep Singh,Mohinder Kumar,Ex Sarpanch Dharmender Singh,Senior leaders Surinder Singh Gilli, Zorawar Singh, K D Singh and others.
