| After Pardesi’s exit, PDP gets NC Ex-MLA Banihal | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25- Former MLA Banihal and former National Conference leader Mohammad Farooq Mir joined People’s Democratic Party along with his supporters in presence of party patron and former chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, here today. Welcoming Mir in the party folds, Mufti said that his party has a vision of prosperous and peaceful state. He hoped that more people like Mir with quest to work for developed and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir will come forward and strengthen the party. Sayeed said the post-poll arrival of several political leaders and activists from across the state in the PDP is the wide-ranging public acknowledgement of the fact that party has a credible leadership and pro-people agenda. Assuring his full support to strengthen the party at the gross root level, Mir said that the policies and programs of the party was the guiding force behind his decision to join PDP. “I have the aim to work for the betterment of people of the state and general and Banihal in particular and I believe that PDP is a platform where the objective can be achieved in better way”, he added. He said that the PDP during its rule had taken all the regions of the state to the path of development and prosperity and it was the approach of the party that people were once again dreaming of peace in the subcontinent by means of democratic process.
