Jodhamal Juniors celebrate Grandparents’ Day with Enthusiasm

Jammu, Sept 24: Jodhamal Public School observed the Grandparents’ Day with heartfelt reverence, in a vibrant celebration honouring the invaluable role of grandparents. The event, imbued with warmth and affection, brought together students, families, and esteemed guests to express gratitude for the wisdom and love imparted by the elder generation.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Mr. Sham Lal Gupta, former Director Colleges, Department of Higher Education, the Guest of Honour Dr. Anita Sharma, Founder, Maven Vibes and Vice President, Kalpana Kala Kendra, the Special Guests, Mr. Ashok Bhan, IPS, Former Director General of Police, J&K and Mr JP Singh, IPS, Former Inspector General of Police, J&K, Trustee of the School Mr. Nandan Kuthiala, Principal, Mr Girish Kumar, Vice Principal, Mrs Amita Arora. This was followed by an impressive drum performance by Kaavish Gupta, setting the tone for the day.
The day came alive with captivating dance performances that had everyone on their feet. From graceful traditional Lord Shiva’s Dance, to Gujarati and Kathak Fusion pieces to energetic modern routines freestyle and Contemporary moves, the vibrant display of colours and rhythms of patriotism showcased the immense talent of the young performers. The dances were a beautiful blend of cultural diversity and youthful enthusiasm, leaving the audience mesmerized. The event included a heartfelt felicitation ceremony for the award achievers of the Pre-Primary Wing, honouring their achievements. Grandparents enthusiastically participated in various fun-games, specially curated for them, adding energy and joy to the festivities. Their spirited involvement not only entertained everyone but also fostered cherished memories, creating a delightful atmosphere that strengthened the bonds between generations.
Principal of the School Mr Girish Kumar delivered the Welcome Address underlining the importance of grandparents in a family. The resounding success of the event was a testament to meticulous planning and unwavering dedication. Headmistress, Ms. Neetu Johri, CCA Coordinator (Jr School), Ms. Deepali Puri, played pivotal roles in seamlessly orchestrating the day’s proceedings. Special commendation is owed to the Pre-Primary teachers and Art and Craft department.
The celebration concluded with a stirring speech by the Chief Guest, Mr. Sham Lal Gupta, who applauded the school’s efforts in fostering such values in the younger generation. The day ended on a gracious note with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Vice Principal Ms. Amita Arora, who expressed her gratitude to all participants, teachers, and especially the grandparents, whose presence made the day truly special. The Grandparents’ Day celebration was a resounding success, encapsulating the values of love, respect, and inter-generational bonding that are at the heart of Jodhamal Public School.
