| MH goes hi-tech with establishment of pacemaker facility | | 102-yr lady treated with pacemaker therapy | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25- A 102- year old lady was treated with pacemaker therapy at Military Hospital Jammu recently. The patient came with repeated loss of consciousness due to very slow heart beat of nearly 30 beats per minute which is a life threatening condition. She was given temporary followed by permanent pacemaker that saved her life. Facility for all kinds of pacemakers has now been established at Military hospital for serving and retired Army personnel and their families. Five such cases have been successfully performed by Col Harminder Singh, Senior Advisor (Cardiology) at Military Hospital Jammu. Brig. KR Salgotra, Commandant of the hospital has been instrumental in setting up this facility in this hospital. It is through his vision and untiring efforts that scores of serving and ex-service personnel and their families will benefit immensely from this facility.
