Hindi Fortnight Concludes in Central Sanskrit University

JAMMU, Sept 26: Hindi Fortnight, 2024 was celebrated from 14 to 26 September, 2024 under the aegis of the Official Language Cell of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot- Bhalwal, Jammu. On the occasion of the concluding programme, Dr. Jaiprakash Verma, Director of IGNOU Regional Center Jammu, speaking on the occasion said that Hindi has been playing an important role in the development of the concept of Indianness since the independence movement till today. We can create Hindi folklore by identifying the factors hindering the development of this language. We should try to make Hindi global from local. Also, everyone should make collective efforts to ensure that Hindi is used more and more in office work. Prof. Satish Kumar Kapoor, Associte Director and Saraswat Guest of the program said that
Language has an amazing power. It connects us to each other. Language is not just a language, it is also a medium of expression of society, culture, history, identity of the nation and its future goals. On this occasion, Campus Director Prof. Shreedhar Mishra, in his presidential address, congratulated all the winning students, teachers and employees, and while giving good wishes, called upon everyone to continuously strive for the prosperity and upliftment of Hindi, and participate in various competitions and activities held from time to time. By taking part in different events helps in honing your expression, skills and talent.The concluding program was inaugurated by Dr. Anay Mani Tripathi with Vedic invocation. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Rishiraj, Head of the Department of Education. The report of Hindi Fortnight was read by Dogri Professor Kamal Kishore. He said that various types of competitions like essay writing, antakshari, speech, song, debate and writing etc. were organized in the university campus for students, teachers and employees. All the teachers, employees and students of the campus participated enthusiastically and made commendable contribution in the successful organization of all the competitions under Hindi Fortnight. On the occasion of the closing ceremony, the winners of various competitions, students, teachers and staff were honored by the guests by giving them prizes and certificates. Dr. Sarvesh Tripathi expressed a deep sense of gratitude to everyone for their active participation in making the program successful. All the teachers, staff and students were present on this occasion. The program was efficiently conducted by Dr. Rekha Mishra.
