Mehbooba’s willingness to support NC exposed PDP’s desperation to remain relevant: Kavinder
No political alliance, maneuvering can overpower BJP’s growing popularity in J&K
9/26/2024 10:39:58 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 26: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Thursday condemned PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for expressing her willingness to support even her arch rival NC to keep BJP out of power in J&K, in the name of ‘secular’ government.
Speaking to media persons during the election campaign rally in Bahu constituency, the BJP stalwart leader said it is an irony that the political parties which are neck-deep in promoting divisive agendas and creating wedge between communities since their inception are talking about secularism. He said that the desperate statement by former chief minister of J&K is a clear reflection of the political bankruptcy and insecurity faced by the PDP leadership. He said that Mehbooba’s entire political career can be summarized by just two terms ‘opportunism’ and ‘flip-flopping’, and her latest remark is yet another attempt to mislead the people and be a part of unholy alliance to cling to relevance.
The senior BJP functionary said that no alliance, political maneuvering, or opposition grouping will be able to hinder the BJP’s growing popularity in the region. He said that the electorate has placed trust in the BJP’s vision of development, security, and stability. He dismissed the idea being spread as strength of opposition unity as being another attempt to spread fake narratives, stating that such efforts are failed bids by weakened political parties to stay relevant in the face of the BJP’s rising influence across the Union Territory.
“Mehbooba Mufti and her party’s strategy of aligning with anyone and everyone to serve their personal interests will not work this time. The people are well aware of the progress brought under the BJP government, especially in terms of infrastructure, governance reforms, and national security.
No amount of political manipulation will diminish the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of the region”, he said, adding that his party is focused on bringing inclusive development and ensuring a corruption-free and secure future for the people. “The Assembly election this time is the battle between those who want to take J&K backward and those who wish to see it progress” he said while garnering support for the party in the third and the last phase of polling on October 1, 2024 to ensure landmark victory of BJP.
Kavinder Gupta appealed to the people of Jammu to rally behind BJP candidates in the upcoming Assembly polls, emphasizing the party's commitment to the region's development and security.
