Inter District UT level Swimming Competition concludes

JAMMU, Sept 27: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) of District Jammu successfully concluded the Inter District UT Level Swimming Competition for Under-AAG (All Age Group) Boys and Girls today at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu. The event, which brought together around 100 participants from various private and government schools across the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their swimming skills.
The competition was organized under the patronage of the Director General of Youth Services and Sports, J&K UT, Shri Rajinder Singh Tara (JKAS), with guidance from the Joint Director of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Shri Ved Parkash (JKAS), and under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma. The event was also managed by I/C DYSSO Jammu, Smt. Harvinder Kour, and ZPEO Satwari, Smt. Jitender Kour.
A team of experts and technical officials from the department, including Shri Rajesh Sambyal, Smt. Gurdeepika Kour, Shri Ranjit Singh, Shri Suram Chand, Smt. Harpreet Bhalla, Shri Amolak Singh, and Shri Rajesh Bandral, ensured the smooth conduct of the competition.
The competition served as an opportunity for young swimmers to not only compete for medals but also hone their skills in a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship. I/C DYSSO Jammu, Smt. Harvinder Kour, praised the participants for their efforts and encouraged them to pursue their goals with dedication. She also awarded medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up of the event.
This event marked another successful initiative by the Youth Services and Sports Department in promoting athletic talent and fostering a culture of sportsmanship in the region.
