GDC Ramgarh organizes Screening of Documentary

RAMGARH, Sept 27: Govt. Degree College, Ramgarh showcased a documentary on 'Fundamental Duties and Rights' as part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program. The programme aimed to educate students about their rights and duties as citizens. The event was held under the guidance and supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College. Speaking on the occasion she articulated how these rights empower citizens while highlighting the crucial responsibilities that accompany them. The documentary illustrated the essential fundamental rights, such as the right to equality, freedom of expression, and the right to education. It also emphasized the corresponding fundamental duties, including the responsibility to promote harmony, protect the environment and uphold the Constitution. The documentary screening was attended by all faculty members and students of the college. Attendees were also encouraged to reflect on their responsibilities and the significance of active participation in the electoral process. The discussion emphasized that voting is not just a right, but a fundamental duty of every citizen, inspiring students to engage proactively in the upcoming electoral process.
