| Vocational training centre inaugurated at Nagrota | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 26- As a part of its continuous endeavor to create opportunities for development of ladies enabling them to play a positive role in the Armed forces fraternity, the White Knight Corps, Army Wives Welfare Association today achieved yet another milestone when Shobhana Swamy, President, AWWA inaugurated the Vocational Training Centre at Nagrota Garrison today. The vocational training centre has state of the art facilities for stitching, embroidery, self grooming and a well equipped classroom for imparting education and conducting classes for the ladies. A beauty parlor and boutique offers the latest and modern infrastructure to provide facilities of pedicure, medicare besides, short and diploma courses in Stitching, Machine Embroidery at a minimal fee of Rs 150 per month to the ladies of other ranks of White Knight Corps. A large gathering of senior officers and other ranks with families were present during the inauguration and were highly appreciative of the excellent facilities offered for empowering and educating the families of defence personnel. The inauguration started on a traditional spiritual note with the offering of prayers by the religious teacher followed by a tea organized in honour of the dignitaries.
