DYSS Reasi Organizes Cleanliness Drives

Reasi, Sept 28: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Reasi today conducted a series of cleanliness drives across key locations in District Reasi as part of the ongoing "Seva Se Seekhen" initiative under the Swachh Bharat Naya Sankalp programme. The drives aimed to promote cleanliness and raise awareness on sanitation in public spaces, reinforcing the importance of a clean environment.
Significant areas included in the drive were the Katra Railway Station, Balidan Stambh in Pouni, the Baba Jitto temple and Heritage Water Point, and a Government School building in Mahore. Students, DYSS field staff actively participated, demonstrating a collective spirit toward the mission.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Officer YSS Reasi Sh. Tarsem praised the participants for their commitment to the cause.
"The dedication displayed by our young students and volunteers shows the power of community-driven efforts in realizing the dream of a cleaner India. Their hard work reflects the true essence of the Swachh Bharat Mission," Naya Sankalp the officer stated.
The event was coordinated by the Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs) of various zones, ensuring successful execution across all selected sites.
The "Seva Se Seekhen" initiative will continue to focus on community-centric activities, including cleanliness, health, and civic engagement, inspiring the local population to take an active role in maintaining a clean and healthy environment in line with the Swachh Bharat Naya Sankalp programme.
