| CM Guv greets people on Navratras, Navreh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, MARCH 26 – Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah has extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Navratras and Navreh. In his message, the Chief Minister said the Navratras have a special significance in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, as it becomes the pilgrim destination for innumerable devotees from all over the country, who come and pay obeisance at the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. Mr. Abdullah also greeted Kashmiri Pandits, who would be celebrating the day as Navreh, the beginning of the new-year and onset of spring in Kashmir. The Chief Minister prayed for peace and prosperity of the State and hoped that these festivals would further strengthen the bonds of unity and amity. While Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh. In a message of greetings, the Governor said that the Navratras have a special significance, as thousands of devotees from across the country during these auspicious days, come to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaisno Devi in the Trikuta Hills. The Governor also felicitated Kashmiri Pandits, who celebrate the day as Navreh, the beginning of the new-year and onset of spring. The Governor hoped and prayed that the auspicious occasion will be the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
