RS PURA, Sept 30: As series of events being organized to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti, Department of English organized Symposium on the theme "Truth and Non-Violence" under the worthy patronage of the Principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour and supervision of Dr. Neena Gupta Rohmetra, Head Department of English and Convener, Debate and Seminar Committee. Students of all semesters participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Indeed symposiums provide platform to the students to develop their communication skills, critical thinking skills and develop their presentation skills. Symposiums encourage active participation from students rather than passive listening. They provide opportunities to the students to engage in discussions, ask questions and present their ideas. This active engagement enhances their understanding of the topic and helps them retain information better. Dr. Raj Kumari, Head Department of Hindi and Prof. Harpreet Kour, Asisstant Professor in Department of English adjudged the students.
