JAMMU, Sept 30: In commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of Father of Nation, K.C. College of Education organized a cleanliness drive (Swachchta Abhiyan) in Arya Public School, Kachi Chowni, Jammu. On this occasion lot of students and the staff participated in the drive. The entire school campus was rendered squeaky-clean by the participants, by using brooms & mops. The students and the staff showed utmost enthusiasm in making the occasion a remarkable one. The material used for cleanliness drive was procured by the college in advance to facilitate the successful completion of the drive. The drive was held under the aegis of NSS wing of the college, wherein senior faculty member Ms. Priya Gupta, the programme officer of the NSS unit, along with Ms. Rita Jamwal, the another faculty member made it possible by pulling their efforts in organizing the drive Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, the worthy principal of the college lauded the role of the said staff members & other participants in making the mission a success, he further elaborated the need of cleanliness for health & hygiene & stressed on the need to organize such drives regularly in future. |
